THE DESCENDANTS OF WILLIAM BYFORD

I had as generation #1 William Byford who married Tabitha Heath, but many helpful folks have pointed out the following: According to "Wills and Abstracts, Guilford Co., NC, 1771-1841" the William Byford who married Tabitha Heath died on July 8, 1795. The executor was Smith Heath, Tabitha's father. The wits:Hezekiah Wheeler, Mary Heath. A year earlier in January 1794, William Byford, Hezekiah Wheeler and Quillen Byford (Aquilla?) were witnesses on the will of John Lakey. So William could not have fathered the William in 1821.
